Saturday Night Nominated for Single of the Year!!
April 8, 2014
I am pleased to announce the nominees for the 2014 Country Music Association of Ontario Awards.
We are immensely proud of Ontario’s vibrant Country Music scene and we believe the nominees for this year’s awards justify our pride.
We are thrilled to welcome one of the finest, Jason McCoy, as our host for the 2nd Annual Awards Show which will once again take place at the Flato Markham Theatre. Monday, May 26th is the date and you can purchase your tickets at www.ticketbreak.com.
Jason McCoy wanted to be with us today at our press conference, but Nashville called – and so he sent a message: “It’s an honour to not only be nominated for a CMAO Award, but to be hosting Ontario Country Music’s biggest night as well. We’ve got some of the best artists in the world, and it’s going to be a great night to celebrate their talents.”
We are most grateful for support from all our terrific sponsors this year, but we must single out our title sponsor, Slaight Music, for once again stepping up to the plate and going above and beyond. We thank Gary Slaight, Derrick Ross and the entire Slaight Music team. Derrick Ross comments,” It’s another exciting year for Ontario Country Artists and Slaight Music is pleased to partner once again with the CMAO in celebrating their success’. I know it’s going to another evening of great musical performances.”
I’d like to take this opportunity to remind everyone to order your tickets now for the upcoming awards show - remember: Markham Flato Theatre, Monday, May 26th. Spring is Here!
The snow is finally starting to melt here in Southern Ontario and I hate to say it as I love winter but “Thank God!!” Spring is on its way and with that comes a lot of cleaning up after this crazy winter
Things have been busy as far as music goes lately, I recently found out I was selected to perform at this year’s Canadian Music Week in a sanctioned showcase! In addition to that, I have been playing in new and exciting places with some new people. This month I have been filling in for one of the lead singers of a local band Evermile which has been a ton of fun playing country covers and expanding my repertoire of songs. We also performed for all the fun guys at the Stolen Souls Motorcycle Club who you might recognize on the artwork for my new cd Damn Fool Thing To Do. What a gig! Along with Nicole Rayy (www.nicolerayy.com) we had to expand our genre from country music to include favorites of classic rock, blues and even some heavier southern rock. I have to admit even though I’m a Country artist, I love playing music!
I also had a chance this week to go in and spend an hour on air with Randy Owen at Country 107.3 in Tillsonburg. I Played a few tunes and got to tell the fans in radio land a bit more about myself and what I’m up to.
Stay posted for more exciting news to come out of the Billy J White Camp because as you know it’s never a dull moment.
I hope you all start enjoying the nice weather.
Keep it Rocking Country Style
Release Party Success!
February 20th, 2014
For those who were unable to attend, the release party of “Damn Fool Thing To Do” last Thursday was a great success! Over 250 attendees dancing and enjoying the new tunes (along with a few beverages). Thanks again to Oakville Volkswagen, Beau’s All Natural Brewing co. and the folks over at KX94.7 for making this night so awesome!!
New Year New Album!!
FEBRUARY 12th 2014
Can anyone say cold this winter!
Believe it or not, aside from plowing snow, snowmobiling, skiing and more snow plowing I have been quite busy working towards the release of my brand new cd “Damn Fool Thing To Do”. As you all may remember last year around this time I was out in British Columbia with Producer Tom McKillip. After a year of working prepping and planning the CD is now ready for sale.
Thanks to my friends over at Oakville Volkswagen, Beau’s Beer and The Boston Manor this is looking like its going to be one rockin’ party. I’ll be debuting all the new songs off of “Damn Fool Thing To Do” live for the first time as well as playing all my usual party songs with a crowd that I gotta say is going to be incredible as our tickets are almost sold out!!
If you find yourself able I recommend you get down to The Boston Manor in Burlington, ON Thursday night around 8pm because its going to be a night you wont forget!
